Blogging Friends Blog Hop.

Hello Friends!!! I am so excited for our second time around with the Blogging Friends Blog Hop. I had so much FUN checking out everyone's projects last month. I cannot believe we are already in the month of November and only a few weeks left until Christmas. This time of year is always busy for me, 2 of my sons' birthdays are in December so that adds to the craziness. The boys are just ending baseball so we will get a little break before the Christmas madness begins. And the weather is finally changing and cooler in the mornings and evenings. I can finally leave the air conditioner off the past week or so.

My little coffee cup project I am not totally satisfied with.... I love these little things so much and they make a great little gift. I made several for my craft a couple weeks ago and plan to make a few more for one that I am planning to do in a couple weeks. I  made the mistake of not purchasing the  Into the Woods DSP. I am really wishing I had but as a small time demo {that's what I call myself} I really have to pick and choose what I decide to purchase as my budget is super small. I knew what project I wanted to do but had to work with what I had.

I LOVE love the stamp set Among the Branches! I am thinking this card we will make at card class this month.I love the embossing folder Woodland. I like using a Q-tip to get a little color on the trees.

 This will be your box.

After you snip on the score lines, snip off the corners.

Your DSP measurements for the outside of the box are:
(2) 1 1/4X4 3/4
(2) 1 1/4X1 3/4
Cover with DSP and decorate as you wish.

This will be your handle. Fold in half on the score line and adhere together.

Use a circle punch {I used a one inch circle punch}. then adhere the handle to the middle of the box.

Fold you little corners you snipped off in half and use these for support on your handle so it doesn't wiggle around as much.

Here are the links for the cups and lids. You can get 50 of them for under $20 with tax and shipping.

Please let me know if you any questions about my instructions.

Make it Monday.

Today I am going to share the measurements and picture tutorial for the cute little frankenstein pocketbac holders I shared almost month ago on the Blogging Friends Blog Hop. It's super easy and takes almost no time at all once you have everything cut and scored. I got the original idea from Erica Cerwin but had to change the measurements of her box to fit the new PocketBac from Bath and Body Works, it's now a little shorter and fatter than before. You can make these cute little holders for any holiday. I am planning on giving these to the boys' teachers in a little goodie basket for Halloween. I made up several for the craft fair I did and surprisingly they weren't too popular so I have a few extras laying around.

 Start with a piece of cardstock 2 1/2 X 10 3/4
Scoring at: 1/2, 1 3/4, 2 3/4, 4, 6 3/4, 8 inches
Punch 2 whisper white circle with 3/4" circle punch
Punch 2 basic black circles with 1/2" circle punch
Punch 1 Cucumber Crush 1/2" circle and sponge it with the Cucumber Crush.

Next fold on all your score lines then take an oval punch and punch just right above your 1/2" score line and it's ok to even punch on the line a little like I did in the above picture.

Fold up the cardstock and adhere adhesive to the backside of the 1/2" side and your going to fold up the opposite side and adhere to it.

Then for the hair you will need a piece of basic black 1 X 2 1/2" and just cut little V's across. Adhere the hair and eyes and draw the little stitches and mouth however you wish. Then wrap some whisper white bakers twine around the bottom a couple times and tuck the cardstock cover in.

And please let me know if you have questions on my instructions....not sure I explained it so clearly.

My First Video Tutorial.

Well I finally had a few minutes to record my first video tutorial. The other night Ryan took Bentley and Easton with him to hit some golf balls {Bentley will not be going again for a long time} and to the hardware store for a couple of bolts. Cameron stayed here and was allowed to play Minecraft before it was reading time.

I must say this is rather embarrassing...don't ask me why. I think because I hate hearing my voice and I did mess up a little. I guess the messing up part is always going to happen. The lighting was terrible and I think I bumped my desk, shaking the camera.

I saw this idea at this year's Stampin' Up! Convention. They stream some of it online so Demonstrators who cannot attend are able to see some of what is going on. And most important we get to see a sneak peek of the holiday catalog.

They made a super cute box to hold note cards {size 5x3 1/2}. I wanted to try and make one to hold the standard size card {4 1/4 x 5 1/2}. It took me a few tries but I finally got it! And I thought this would be the perfect project to share as my first video tutorial.
