Make it Monday.

Today I am sharing a card that I have been wanting to make since the moment I saw it. I CASEd this card from Eimear Carvill. When I saw this week's challenge over on the Fab Friday Challenge Blog I knew I wanted to try this technique on this challenge.

This technique is called the Whitewash technique and it's a new one to me so I was excited to give it a try. For this card I heat embossed the flower in white, then used the aqua painter and craft white to paint the flower, and then after it dried I used the aqua painter and Blushing Bride stamp pad to paint over the white and then did the same for Mint Macaroon.

I love the way it turned out and cannot wait to try it out with other colors. I barely got a break in the rain today to take a quick picture outside. I am loving the new spot I found to take photos of my cards:) I hope you will give this technique a try.

March Blogging Friends Blog Hop

Who are the ‘Blogging Friends’?   Until a few months ago, we were a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators located all across the U.S. and Canada who had never met before.  Well, actually, we still haven’t met yet (in person). . . But, through our common bond of Stampin’ Up! and a shared love of paper crafting we have created a fun new blog hop!

This month we are doing something a little different and sharing our crafting space. My space is a small little corner in my kids' playroom. I have had this desk for years and love it. It used to be a regular office type of desk that our computer and printer sat on. Once I signed up with Stampin' Up! I needed a more permanent space to work on my projects and as my collection grew I also needed more space. So the Laptop moved to the kitchen counter/bar area {where it still sits today} and the printer moved to our bedroom.

My space is always a work in progress. I have big plans for some DIY shelves kinda similar to the shelf I have hanging up now that holds my stamps and punches. I am always trying new  things to organize all my supplies. The pink file cabinet is the newest addition. We have had it for years stored in the garage and last summer I decided to paint it and bring it in for some extra storage. I painted it pink because I have a house full of boys and needed a little girliness. I store my heat tool and all the accessories that go with it , project life card kits, retired ribbon, and other miscellaneous items that I have no clue what to do with:)
For now this is my space and over time it will get better.  I have to share it with my 3 crazy boys so from time to time they do get into my stuff but for the most part leave it alone. Right now my 3 year old is obsessed with washi tape:)

My space is far from fancy but it gets the job:) I am hoping to pick up some ideas from my fellow demonstrators.
