Make it Monday.

Today I am sharing a card that I have been wanting to make since the moment I saw it. I CASEd this card from Eimear Carvill. When I saw this week's challenge over on the Fab Friday Challenge Blog I knew I wanted to try this technique on this challenge.

This technique is called the Whitewash technique and it's a new one to me so I was excited to give it a try. For this card I heat embossed the flower in white, then used the aqua painter and craft white to paint the flower, and then after it dried I used the aqua painter and Blushing Bride stamp pad to paint over the white and then did the same for Mint Macaroon.

I love the way it turned out and cannot wait to try it out with other colors. I barely got a break in the rain today to take a quick picture outside. I am loving the new spot I found to take photos of my cards:) I hope you will give this technique a try.

  1. Beautiful card! I'll definitely give this technique a try.

  2. This is SO lovely - what a cool technique! I so can't wait to try it - I'm such an aquapainter junkie, myself, too. Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!

  3. Stunning! I've never tried this technique before so I think it's on my to do list for sure after seeing your card! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!

  4. I love the softness of your flower - such a creative way to showcase these colors! Thank you so much for playing along with this soft-and-sweet Fab Friday color challenge!
