March Blogging Friends Blog Hop

Who are the ‘Blogging Friends’?   Until a few months ago, we were a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators located all across the U.S. and Canada who had never met before.  Well, actually, we still haven’t met yet (in person). . . But, through our common bond of Stampin’ Up! and a shared love of paper crafting we have created a fun new blog hop!

This month we are doing something a little different and sharing our crafting space. My space is a small little corner in my kids' playroom. I have had this desk for years and love it. It used to be a regular office type of desk that our computer and printer sat on. Once I signed up with Stampin' Up! I needed a more permanent space to work on my projects and as my collection grew I also needed more space. So the Laptop moved to the kitchen counter/bar area {where it still sits today} and the printer moved to our bedroom.

My space is always a work in progress. I have big plans for some DIY shelves kinda similar to the shelf I have hanging up now that holds my stamps and punches. I am always trying new  things to organize all my supplies. The pink file cabinet is the newest addition. We have had it for years stored in the garage and last summer I decided to paint it and bring it in for some extra storage. I painted it pink because I have a house full of boys and needed a little girliness. I store my heat tool and all the accessories that go with it , project life card kits, retired ribbon, and other miscellaneous items that I have no clue what to do with:)
For now this is my space and over time it will get better.  I have to share it with my 3 crazy boys so from time to time they do get into my stuff but for the most part leave it alone. Right now my 3 year old is obsessed with washi tape:)

My space is far from fancy but it gets the job:) I am hoping to pick up some ideas from my fellow demonstrators.

  3. Hi Jessica, I like how you've created a space to be with your kids. It's very multifunctional and I can even see your kids artwork hanging on the wall! We are all SO lucky! xo Crystal

    1. Thank you! Yes it was the only space in the house left. They have artwork all over and those picture frames were on the wall before I created the space, they kinda get in the way of my stacking things up high or put in shelves but I love them too much to take down:)

    1. Thank you! It's nice to have it all out because I don't have a lot of time to sit for very long so I come and go and do it here and there for a few minutes at a time.

  7. Thanks for sharing your space with us! I love that you share it with your boys :) I have one little boy who is 2 and he loves my stickers! Luckily he hasn't discovered my washi tape... yet! I want to add a play area for him in my room, too :)

    1. Thank you! LOL luckily my stickers I have collected over the years are in a totally separate area and they cannot access them or else I am sure I would have none left...haha. It is nice for them to do their own thing and I can do mine:)

  9. That is the main thing, having our craft area just so we can get our creations out. At least you can craft and have your kids close by. Thank you for sharing.

  11. Great space and you can be in the same room with your boys while they play. It's like a win-win for all of you. Our crafting spaces are always a work in progress, I've rearranged mine three times this year so far. I know something will have me change yet again at least another two times before the end of the year. :)

  12. It's nice that you can craft with your boys nearby. You can train the next generation of stampers! just be happy the little one likes washi tape and not something a little bit more destructive like ink pads or permanent markers! (been there done that.)
