Make it Monday.

I know I did not post a Friday Rewind but I promise I will be back this week:) It was a busy week plus I was getting ready for the Vendor Fair on Saturday and I completely forgot about it until I was laying in bed and by that time I was exhausted.

This Make it Monday I bring you a card made with products from the new Holiday Catalog. I love the stamp set Get Your Santa On. So cute and so many awesome samples out there. I made this card for a swap. For this particular swap we all chose a stamp set from the new catalog. We all made 12 of the same card then we swap cards with each other and you end up with 12 different cards using different stamp sets. That way we can share with our customers all that there is to offer in the holiday catalog without having to buy every single set. It's really an awesome and this is just my second one I participated in. And on the plus side this card is really simple to re-create.

Bentley got super excited and was pointing saying "HO HO HO". I guess someone is ready for Santa:)

Make it Monday.

I have a busy week ahead of me. I start working in the classroom, have a field trip to go on, AND I just found out my bestie is headed to town so I MUST make some time to see her plus get ready for the Vendor Fair on Saturday. Lots and lots to do for that.

I got the idea for today's card from my Upline {the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I signed up under}, we made it at one of our monthly meetings. We made it using the stamp set Work of Art. This stamp set is VERY versatile. You can do so many different designs with it. I also used this years new in-colors. Which at first I didn't really care for them but seeing and stamping with them more is making me LOVE them.

There are so many color combinations you can do with this card. And this stamp set is AWESOME! If you don't have it you need to get it.

Friday Rewind.

Well Easton finally started school this week. He goes to a pre-school in the district but they start a few weeks after the regular school year starts. He was of course super excited and he was even more excited to get a book order form from Scholastic. The kids love getting their book orders each month. They love picking out their books!!!!

I did manage to make it to the gym twice this week! WHOOOHOOOO!!!!! Next week I will be lucky if I make it at all. We will see. Lots to do with school and to get ready for my first ever Vendor Fair!!

OMG!!! It's been like 100 degrees the last couple days and tomorrow it is suppose to be 100 as well and Cameron has a baseball game at 2:00PM. Like the hottest part of the friggin day. Not looking forward to that. I getting ready to put some water bottles in the freezer now for Easton and Bentley so they can try and keep cool.

Cameron has had hist first couple games already for Fall Ball. He is playing in a different league with boys that are a little older an bigger than he is but we think it will be good for him. The league we were had no structure and the kids weren't really learning anything. It killed Ryan to go to the practices and watch. Fall Ball is only about 8 weeks or so if that so it will go by fast.

So I think this picture was from Easton's second day of school. We are on our way to pick Cameron up from school so around 2:20ish or so. Bentley falls asleep almost every single day on the way to get Cameron. But Easton I think was just exhausted from starting school. Poor kid. Not sure how long his poor little neck was like that before we stopped. And if you look closely at Bentley's harness there's a receiving blanket wrapped around it. Why you ask? Well that's because the little turd can unbuckle his harness an he will just be hanging out pulling on the headrest in front of him. So we have to tie him up. He works very hard at it sometimes to get it untied. We needed something that wasn't too hard or permanent just in case we need to get him out in a hurry.

These are the new sweatshirts the boys got. The mornings have been a bit crisp, you could tell Fall was in the air but not today or yesterday. Anyway so the kids needed some lightweight sweatshirts. Well the first day they wore them they both had them on all day long. I go to pick up Cameron from school and it's 90 outside and he walks out of the classroom at 2:55pm with that dang sweatshirt on. His teacher said he had it on all day long and of course with the hood on at recess running and chasing his friends around.

Bentley and I had some grocery shopping to do and it was so NICE to only have one kid. But really Bentley equals like 2 or 3 kids. He is such a pain in the ass to take anywhere these days. He was a butthead at the grocery store and then we had to stop at Costco and was still butthead. It should have taken me like an hour total at both stores and it ended taking like over 2 overs. Hoping our next trip out he's an angel:)

I hope everyone has an awesome weekend! I hope it's cooler where you are at:)

Make it Monday.

Well today Easton finally started school. So it has been a busy day so far. And in a little bit Easton has speech then we pick up Cameron then we will leave for Cameron's game shortly after we get home. Busy busy busy!!!!! So I am squeezing this in real quick before we need to leave yet again.

Today's Make it Monday is this cute little post it note holder. I think I am going to have these for sale at the vendor I am doing in a couple weeks. They are super easy to make and a good way to use some retired designer series paper. I ordered these coasters from Amazon.

I cut some retired DSP 4x4 and used Modge Podge to adhere the DSP to the coasters. After it dried I used my crop-a-dile corner chomper to round off the corner. I used medium sized binder clips to hold the post-it pad to the coaster adhered some coordinating DSP to the clip and added some ribbon and there you go. These go very quickly when you have everything cut and then let dry.

I got the binder clips and post its from the Dollar Tree. The binder clips come in package of 10 and the post its are generic brand and come in a pack of 5. So fairly inexpensive to make.

I have some Christmas and Halloween paper I might use and make a few more. These would make great little teacher gifts:)

Friday Rewind.

Well I am just now getting to relax. The kids are in bed and passed out. Ryan is already passed out as well {doesn't take him long}. Just another great week in our crazy house.

Sunday Ryan had ONE {he already had the other one last week} of his fantasy football drafts and he saw this recipe on Facebook for homemade cinnamon rolls so Sunday night while he was at his draft I decided to make some for him. I was really making them for Monday morning but that is way too much work to be doing right when I wake up plus trying to feed the kids {and no they won't eat cinnamon rolls, Bentley YES the other two NO}. It seemed to take forever. I never worked with yeast before and the flipping dough wasn't rising. A couple calls to my Grandma and I think I found out that our house was actually too cool and that's why it wasn't rising. I put the dough in the warm oven for a few and it started to rise. They were pretty good but probably won't be making them anytime in the near future.

The recipe is from Two Peas & Their Pod....you can find it here.

I had my first parent meeting of the school year. It was an hour and a half long. Hopefully we can get it down to like 30 minutes for the next one. Cameron's class has their first field trip in a couple weeks and of course I signed up to be a driver:)We have monthly class meetings where we discuss upcoming events, fundraisers, and lots of other stuff.

I had to share this text. Cameron likes to push Ryan's buttons when they are out in the front yard practicing baseball and he plays in the dirt a lot at practice. Ryan's been taking him to all his practices so I haven't seen much. But the other day Ryan sends this text. Ryan's always making fun of all the hash-tags. Then he's telling me to record the Packer's game. We won't talk about that:(

Ryan gave in and said that Easton could get one more blankie. So off to Nordstrom's we went. After years they finally changed the design a little bit but it still feels just as soft. He was so happy. We have been through so many of these blankets. Cameron got one of these blankets as a gift when he was born. When he was about 4 months old he got attached. So we bought one for Easton and same thing and so then we of course got one for Bentley. All 3 love their blankets. Cameron's is looking ragged but he's not getting another. Anyway so Easton got a new one. And can you freaking believe it one day later has a big FAT hole. Whatever. Ugh.

Here's Easton with his new BLUE blankie:)

This is what was left of the old one:(

And here is the big fat hole in the BRAND new one. I am going to try and stitch it up.

Today I ran around like a crazy person. After we took Cameron to school Easton, Bentley, and I were on the go until we got home at about Noon. Then it was time to unload and feed the kiddos. I chased the nut job around until I found out Ryan was going to make it home before it was time for me to leave to Cameron from school so I put crazy ass to bed for a nap. He hadn't had a real nap in days. Most of the time now he just gets car naps because we are always on the go getting Cameron from school.

Bentley passed out on the way to get Cameron from school. This usually happens every school day.

Easton getting some snuggles from Homer this morning.

Please forgive me but I am getting sleepy and I have been up since about 3:15AM, so therefore I am not going over this and proof reading. I know there's going to be typos but whatever. I might come back over the weekend and look it over again.
I hope everyone has a great weekend. Cameron has a baseball game so that's where we will be tomorrow morning:)

I love the Typeset Designer Series Paper. It's a little lighter than the regular DSP. I have seen some really cute Christmas Cards made with this and the Bright and Beautiful stamp set from the holiday mini.
