I was on a 3 day long field trip this past week with oh about 100 or so first and second graders....need I say no more!!!!!

P.S. I am very fortunate to be able to go on these field trips and really truly enjoy going:) but that doesn't mean it's not crazy.

Make it Monday.

The card I am sharing with you today was a card we made at last weekends card class. I love this color combo and I am so sad to see these colors retiring. Actually tomorrow the Retired List comes out and more than likely anything with these colors are sure to sell-out and  will no longer will be available. Once Stampin' Up! announces the Last Chance List many items often start to sell-out very quickly. Some items are discounted up to 50% off. The retiring colors are the 2013-2015 In-Colors. I think I actually need some Pistachio Pudding card stock to go with my Little Moments Project Life Card kit, so I can finish up some baby pages. Looks like I better put in an order ASAP in the morning...good thing I am up early and finger crossed it doesn't sell out before then.

Strawberry Slush~Baked Brown Sugar~Pistachio Pudding~Crisp Cantaloupe~Coastal Cabana

I originally chose this color combo because I was wanting to use up some Designer Series Paper before it retired but I ended up not using that much at all. Just a little 1 inch strip. I love this Gold Soiree Designer Series Paper...so pretty!!! I might have to use some for next months class as well and I think I may have an idea for it:)

This card is very simple and easy to duplicate or change up with the items and supplies you have on hand.

Friday Rewind.

There's about a little less than 2 month less of the school year.....and I cannot wait. I can wait for all the screaming and fighting that will be happening probably the first fill day they are out of school BUT cannot wait to just have a little calmness around here. Like many families we have been busy with baseball the last couple months and everyone is getting pretty tired.

Ryan and I are tired of all the driving. Somedays I am driving back and forth 3 times. First to drop off Cameron, second to pick him up and third either practice or games for him or Easton. I have only taken Cameron to practice twice. Ryan is usually the one who takes him and I stay home and cook dinner. Yes we did choose to put him in an open school and not our home so we expected this BUT UGH!!! Oh and not to mention Cameron has practice 3 times a week plus 2 games a week. I can tell he's getting a little tired as well. Don't get me started on the practice schedule.
Okay enough of that complaining and venting crap:)

Make it Monday.

I finally got a traditional scrapbook page completed! It's paired up with a project life style page on the  other side. I am going to keep doing the traditional pages here and there mixed in with the project life style. This picture was the perfect for a single page to pair next to a project life page. This is Easton's birth announcement. Now I didn't permanently adhere this picture to the cardstock. This picture I have had on our refrigerator since I got them made after Easton was born. I have all 3 of the boys' birth announcements on the fridge. Don't ask me why I just do BUT I couldn't find all those extras of Easton's so this one is just one there temporary for now. There's are a few spots and scratches on the photo.

Over the last month or so I have really been trying to do a little bit here and there and doing this one page has got me excited and wanting to do more. The boys are curious and come over to my little craft desk and ask...."Who is that?", "Where are my baby pictures?", and so on. They LOVE to look at the pictures and ask questions about them. I am very happy with the way this came out since it's my first "traditional" page in quite sometime.

Friday Rewind.

Well I missed last Friday's rewind. Last week was a busy week with baseball and dealing with a sick kid. Easton caught a 24 hour virus or something. He was running a fever and barfed a few times. Nothing too bad but he only went to school one day so I was home with him Tuesday and Wednesday, Thursday he seemed okay but was still complaining of a tummy ache so I decided to just keep him home since he was doubled over in pain.
Then on Friday Bentley started coughing and running a fever. The fever only lasted a couple of days but then I noticed some drainage coming from his ear and sure enough he had an ear infection. The doctor seems to think it's from allergies and I am beginning to think more and more these days the kids have allergies. The allergies here are super bad right now. I just hope B doesn't end up with another ear infection.

This was after he got home from Grandma's house when I noticed the ear drainage.

This was in between Easton and Cameron's game. We were getting a snack from the snack bar and he couldn't stay away from the dirt for 5 minutes. A snot dirt filled face.

Passed out at baseball. He was very calm and mellow and I could tell he wasn't feeling too good...Oh and we were out at the ball park for hours:)

Even after we packed up and a moved him to the wagon he still didn't wake up.

So the highlight of the past week is gonna have to be going to see Garth Brooks! I am still on a Garth high. I cannot believe after all these years he went on tour. And we had super good seats. We had floor seats, now in the past my floor seats were kinda in the back so once everyone stood up it was so hard to see {well and I was in like 6th grade} but these were AWESOME! We were so close! It was so freaking awesome! He was here in Sacramento for 6 shows and one night he did 2 shows!
I have been a Garth fan since forever. I have every CD, every box set {yes even all the box sets that have different covers but all the same CDs} and I have seen him now 3 times in concert. I can remember as a teenager waiting in line for tickets {back when you stood in line for hours} and show #4 {i think it was} sold out like 5 people in front of us. We were waiting and waiting to see if they were going to announce another show and YEP he did!!! I saw Garth as a kid, as a teenager {with Ryan 17 years ago} and now as an adult! He seriously puts on the best show EVER! You don't even have to be a country music fan and you will still love it. I just hope he comes back in a couple more years because I want to see him again. What we should have done was kept our extra set of tickets for Saturdays show instead of selling them.....oh well...next time we will just have to try and go to a couple shows.
My SIL Jen was the DD for some of her friends so she scored a FREE ticket and was sitting a couple rows in front of us.

Ryan's eyes are shut:( I didn't notice it until we were already settled back down in out seats patiently waiting.

And Finally he takes the stage!!!!

Yeah I suck at taking selfies.

Thank goodness for cell phones. We got lots of pictures and videos.

Trisha Yearwood came out and sang a couple songs and Garth played guitar while she preformed...pretty cool!

A major hurdle I tackled this week was taking Cameron to the dentist. He has needed some treatment done for like ever but I have been dreading taking him. Well I finally did it and of course it was on a day when Ryan was working so I had to take him by myself. H needed a cavity filled and some sealants. I could tell he was super nervous but he did great. He started to get a little wiggly towards the but by that time it had almost been an hour since he had been laying down. The dentist and the assistants are awesome. It's a pediatric dental office so everything is kid friendly and the staff knows what to say to the kids to make them feel a little better. So glad it's over with.

This week has been so nice. A nice little break from school and baseball and all the running around that goes with it. The boys stayed the night with my mom and grandma earlier in the week so that was nice and broke up the week some. Cameron has been asking and asking to go over to Nino's house {that's what the kids call my grandma} since he's in school he doesn't get to over there much these days. So the boys and cousin Autumn stayed the night over there and of course they had a blast. A little break is always nice.
But on Monday it all starts up again until the end of the school year. Lots of things going on between now and then that will surely require me to drink lots of wine.

Happy Easter!!!

Granola Bites.

Okay so we {Ryan and I} have been trying to eat a little healthier. Slowly working in new things and trying different recipes. After one failed attempt to make some granola Cynthia sent me this recipe for no bake energy bites. I was trying to find a nice little snack for Ryan to take in his lunch.  I was a little afraid he wouldn't like them but to my surprise he LOVES them. It's just too bad the kids don't like them...they won't even try them.
I think Cynthia got this recipe from Pinterest but I do not have the link. She sent it to me via a picture so that's all I have to go by:)

 Granola Bites

1 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup peanut butter {or other nut butter}
1/3 cup honey
1 cup coconut flakes
1/2 ground flaxseed
1/2 mini chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla

mix everything in a medium bowl until thoroughly mixed in. Let chill in the refrigerator for half an hour. Once chilled I used a melon ball scooper to make little one inch half circles. I had to press the granola into the scoop but this size was better than rolling into 1 inch balls like the original recipe. They are the perfect size when using melon ball scooper. Store in an airtight container and keep refrigerated for up to one week.

These were the first ones I made that I rolled into balls.

 There's my little melon scooper:)

Seriously give these a try! You will love them. And your kids will too if they are not super picky like my crazies.
